The prestigious Support Vessel of the Year 2011 award was given to Seven Havila at the OSJ conference, which was held in London recently. Seven Havila is the most advanced and state-of-the-art Diving Support Vessel ever built. It is designed by Havyard Design (type Havyard 858 DSV) and is ideal for the saturated diving operations. The owner of this vessel is the entity formed by a joint venture between Acergy and Havila Shipping. Seven Havila has been built/outfitted at Havyard Groups’ shipyard—Havyard Leirvik AS—located in Sogn, Norway. The hull was built at Cemre shipyard, located in Yalova, Turkey. During the hull construction sales, technical service and paint supplies activities were handled by Jotun Boya (Turkey), whereas during the outfitting at the Havyard Leirvik shipyard it was Jotun Coatings (Norway) taking the lead of handling these issues. Products used on all external and internal areas, including the deck, include Jotacote Universal, Hardtop XP and SeaQuantum Ultra.
